Why this site exists
The gap we're filling
Surendranagar is not a "pretty city break" — it's a district-scale destination: a rail hub between Ahmedabad and Rajkot, a pilgrimage catchment around Chotila, the eastern door to the Little Rann of Kutch, and home to Tarnetar, Wadhwan's heritage and living crafts. Official listings cover a handful of sites. This site covers the whole district, with distances, seasons, permits and honest effort levels.
We write for three audiences at once: pilgrims, weekend circuit travellers, and niche travellers (birders, wildlife photographers, craft lovers). And we write bilingually — Gujarati first for pilgrims and locals, English for circuit travellers and the diaspora.

How we work
- Fact-checked: we cross-check against surendranagar.nic.in and forest-department notices.
- Honest: infrastructure is mid-range, summers are harsh, the Rann needs a permit. We say so.
- Respectful: we never frame Tarnetar as a "tribal marriage market" or treat salt-pan workers as props.
- Rights-cleared: our imagery is generated and rights-cleared, not scraped from tourism boards.
