The dham

What to expect

Varnindra Dham is a modern Jain complex built in white marble — ornate shikharas, carved pillars and a peaceful courtyard that feels a world away from the salt flats a few kilometres out. It's a working pilgrimage site, so dress modestly, follow the sanctum rules, and give yourself time to simply sit in the courtyard.
