Trimandir — the white temple minutes from town
About 8–10 km from the Junction, this gleaming marble Jain complex is the easiest big sight in the district: a colonnaded hall, golden statues and a calm that's a genuine contrast to Chotila's crowds. Free entry; dress modestly.
What to expect
More than a temple
The Trimandir is a modern complex built around a single idea — a shrine where Jain, Hindu and Buddhist traditions are honoured under one roof. The architecture is the draw: acres of white marble, a long colonnade, and a central hall of golden murtis that catches the light all day.
It's also the easiest place in the district to visit with a family or a group of mixed interests — everyone finds it beautiful, and nobody has to climb anything.
